Periplus Research is a London-based strategy and disputes advisory firm for frontier and emerging economies. Through local human-source networks, it establishes what the formal record cannot show: how a decision will actually be made, whether a counterparty will perform once relationships replace documents. The firm is for decision-makers who have read the record, taken the advice, and still do not know.

Context

Every element finds its position. Nothing snaps, nothing bounces, nothing arrives with force. The movement is soft and continuous, as if each element was always meant to be there. It glides into place and rests.

1. Settle

Every element finds its position. Nothing snaps, nothing bounces, nothing arrives with force. The movement is soft and continuous, as if each element was always meant to be there. It glides into place and rests.

2. Propagate

One point reaches the next. Then the next. A fluid cascade where each element triggers what follows, naturally and independently. No element knows it is part of a larger system. Yet the sequence, taken as a whole, is coherent. This is how the network operates. Colleagues across many countries, each conducting a conversation on a specific brief, in a specific language, at a specific level. Each compartmentalised. Each unaware of the whole. Yet the whole emerges.

3. Restraint

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is imposed. Duration is not a technical parameter, it is a value. The tempo of every animation reflects the tempo of the work itself: discreet, confidential, institutional. Periplus Research does not perform. It does not seek attention. The longest engagement in the portfolio spans three years. The shortest is a targeted intervention. Both require the same patience. Both operate at a tempo that cannot be accelerated without losing what makes them effective.
